Purpose and Vision
The purpose of Providence Baptist Church is to glorify God through His Son, Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church, in the power of the Holy Spirit. We accomplish this through the biblical means of:
Evangelism - This is the presentation of the Gospel in a clear, uncompromising way so that our communities, both local and worldwide, may come to a personal acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We encourage evangelism through:
- Personal Witness
- Missions
Edification - This is the practice of bringing people up to maturity in Christ. We encourage edification through:
- Prayer
- Relationships
- Instruction
- Service
- Management
Exaltation - This is the practice of leading people to experience communion with God, which leads to an awareness of His holiness, majesty and grace. We encourage exaltation through:
- Personal Worship
- Family Worship
- Corporate Worship
