Children's Ministries
Getting Involved
There are many ways to get involved in the Children's Ministry at Providence, and you can begin as soon as this Sunday morning. All the positions have the requirement of a willing heart to serve, a background check and personal relationship with Christ. Whether your talents are in the classroom or on the playground, we have a place for you. Below are just a few of the current opportunities for volunteers. If you would like to serve in any of these areas, contact the Children's Ministry (919-326-3000).
Children's Ministry Hospitality
A great way to serve visiting families is to help them fill out visitor forms and escort them to their child's class.
Providence Kids Teacher
Teach and minister to the children in your class using provided curriculum.
Special Needs Helper
Contact the Children's Ministry if interested, as needs vary.
Substitute in Providence Kids Class
Every month we have more than 60 volunteers who help once a month as a substitute teacher. Help teach or assist with a class once a month or quarter.
Creative Activities Coordinator
Prepare and lead a creative activity for one both MOPS meetings each month. Contact Wendy Warlick for more information.
For the safety of the children, we perform a background check on all volunteers serving with the children at Providence.
