Children's Ministries  –  Sunday Mornings

Elementary

Sunday Morning Times

9:30-10:45 a.m.

11 a.m.-12:15 a.m.

Location

Classrooms are located in the children's building. Please stop at the children's welcome desk in the atrium of the children's building to find the correct classroom for your child.

Children in second grade and older may leave their classroom without an adult escort.  At this age, children are old enough to go to class alone; however, we encourage parents to accompany their child the first week in a new class in order to meet the teachers. Additionally, parents are welcome to visit the class at any time to see what the children are learning or to just stop by with an encouraging word for the teachers.

You will need a KidCheck account which can be created here: http://go.kidcheck.com or you can create one once you arrive. There are check in computers in various places in the children's area.

We have a variety of classes for elementary age children at 9:30 and 11 a.m.

9:30 a.m.

First through third grade classes use the Gospel Light Curriculum.

Fourth and fifth graders have two choices for the Providence Kids class on Sunday morning:

  • One group follows a large group/small group format which includes games, praise and worship with live music, and a dynamic lesson by experience storytellers. Small groups are broken down by age and gender and life application is made easy to understand. Weekly challenges help children live out the biblical principles learned that week.
  • The second group is boys and girls inductive studies which have a variety of activities to reinforce the Word they study that week.

11 a.m.

First through fifth grade is a large group/small group. This exciting hour of praise starts with high-energy worship songs, then the whole group hears a message based on God's Word and how they can apply it to their lives. Then we break into smaller groups and share prayer requests and talk about what we learned. All first through fifth graders are invited to join us!
