Children's Ministries – Weekly Activities

Awana begins September 8

Cost: $40 per child, $80 family max

Awana helps churches and parents worldwide raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ! Awana is an acronym from 2 Timothy 2:15, "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed."
When: September-May on Wednesdays from 6:30-8 p.m.
Where: Children's building (Enter on the opposite side of the Glenwood Avenue entrance)
Who: Children age 3 (by September 1, 2010) through 5th grade.
The children are divided by age group:
- Cubbies: Children who are three years old by September 1, 2010 through five year-olds.
- Sparks: Kindergarten through second grade
- T&T: Third through fifth grade
The evening is broken into three parts:
- Handbook Time: Children get a chance to recite the verses they have been working on during the week.
- Council Time: Large-group teaching time when we have lessons from God's Word.
- Game Time: We learn new games and play our old favorites as well.
