Children's Ministries
What We Believe
We believe the children of Providence have been placed in our ministry by the sovereign hand of God. The Children's Ministry takes seriously the opportunity God has given us to impact their lives for eternity. As we teach children the following biblical truths, we will love each child unconditionally just as Christ loves each one of us:
- We believe it is important for children to love God. We teach them to live lives that are pleasing to God.
- We desire for the children to love Jesus, their Savior. The Scriptures lovingly describe how parents would bring their children to Jesus for Him to bless and how Jesus said we must become like little children if we are to enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:3). It is a privilege for us to share with children that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for our sins, rose from the dead and will return for them.
- We also want them to love the Bible. Children learn that the Bible is the Living Word of God, the absolute truth and the standard by which they should live. They also discover that God's Word is fun to read and describes how much God loves them.
