Pastoral Intern Program

This program strives to train seminary students and graduates as senior pastors, introducing them to principle-based ministry and the practical aspects of senior pastoral leadership. The vision of this program is to develop men with a Christ-centered, biblically-saturated, well-formed understanding of the purpose of the local church, the realization of that purpose, the tasks of pastoral leadership and the marks of a healthy personal and family life. To accomplish this vision, the intern program offers various steps to help train and equip participants.

Through the pastoral intern program, you can receive six hours of seminary credit. For the fall 2008 and spring 2009 academic year, below are classes you can earn a credit for:

Fall 2008:
PMN6500 Pastoral Ministry

Spring 2009:
PMN590 Supervised Field Ministry

The class meets at Providence on Monday from 12:30-3:30 p.m. The way the program is designed, you must sign up for the full year.
