On the fourth Wednesday of each month (except November and December), married couples meet in the Delta Lake Center for The Journey from 6:30-8 p.m. If your children are not registered for Awana, childcare is provided by SonStation. Register for SonStation below.

The men of Providence will be returning to The Cove for their annual retreat March 20-22, 2009. Special guests this year will be Joe White and Ken Smith. Joe is the president of Kanakuk Kamps, a ministry that serves more than 20,000 campers and 2,500 college-age and professional staff each year. Ken Smith currently serves as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Wauchula, Florida. Daniel Renstrom, who has been on staff at Providence Baptist Church for five years, will lead the men in musical worship.

 Cost is $290 for the weekend (with the option of a $100 deposit). A brochure with the weekend schedule of events is available on the men’s information board in the welcome center lobby.All men 18 years of age and older are welcome.

Adults 55+ are invited to Big Ed's City Market Restaurant for breakfast and then to see Grand Caynon Adventure at the IMAX Theater. We'll meet at the church at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $15 and includes transportation and admission. The cost for breakfast is each individual's responsibility. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis with full payment. Space is limited; make your reservations by January 11. Call Nancy Corson (326-3000, ext. 232).

Join the Singles Ministry for their next Oasis 414 event on February 1, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. in the Delta Lake Center. The evening includes a chili cook-off as we watch Super Bowl XLIII. The cost is $5, but free to those who bring chili for the cook-off.

Middle school students are invited to go snow tubing on February 7 in Wintergreen, VA. If you have not already registered, we have a few slots still available!

The group will meet at the church at 6:30am for a 7:00am departure. We will return at 7:00pm the same evening.

Cost per student is $60 and students will also be responsible for lunch and dinner expenses.

My Evening Walk, a Bible study for women led by Cathy Horner, began Monday, September 8, 2008. This year we will use Beth Moore's new and updated study of the Old Testament Tabernacle called A Woman's Heart: God's Dwelling Place. Through this study you will discover the parallels between the Tabernacle's construction and your life as a chosen vessel of God. You can register online below or print out a registration. Please note: you must register by Sunday, September 7 to participate in the first night small group introductory session. We meet every Monday in September until April from 7-8:45 p.m. We start in our small groups then meet in a large group in the amphitheater. Cost is $25

Let's have dinner together! Join us January 22 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for small group dinners. Register online or in your LIFE class for an opportunity to get to know other women of all ages from our church family in a home setting. You can choose to host a group as small as six or as large as 12, including yourself. Or you can choose to attend as a guest. Each non-host participant will be randomly assigned to a home for a potluck style dinner and casual fellowship. The menu will be coordinated by each hostess and each participant will bring one dish. The idea is to keep it simple and focus on fellowship!
