Gary and Darla Pettet are common people. They met and married in Ohio in 1979 and are greatly blessed with 3 sons, their spouses, and many cherished grandchildren.
Their call to missions came in 1999 after serving with a short-term church planting team to Romania with e3 Partners Ministry (then Global Missions Fellowship).
Gary retired as a paramedic/firefighter Lieutenant in 2002 in response to God’s call and he now serves Zimbabwean national partners in church planting, leadership development, community transformation, and strategic planning.
Darla continues her role in ‘tent making’ as a hairstylist trainer which gives her ongoing opportunity for domestic ministry as well as having an international impact as she freely shares the gospel, disciples young women, and shares skills that help families earn income in impoverished communities in Zimbabwe.
Gary and Darla’s mission through e3Partners is simple:
They equip God’s people to evangelize his world and establish his church.
Vision – Establish vibrant, sustainable, multiplying, indigenous churches for global impact
Impact – They train followers of Christ to share the Gospel in their everyday lives and around the world, utilizing their personal story of faith, Jesus story, and initiating multiplying home churches. They help equip and mobilize short-term US mission teams who bring the Gospel into various cultures. Additionally, they are active in training a network of indigenous church leaders who are determined to develop disciple-makers using easily reproducible biblical methods. Local churches are taught to impact their communities by facilitating economic opportunities, agricultural projects, and recycling
