Practical Needs

When times are hard a single item can provide relief. When God's people come together to help each other, our God is glorified and people are ministered to.

Benevolence Ministry

This ministry is responsible for the collection and distribution of the benevolence fund monies. The benevolence fund is a special fund set aside to help Providence members, regular attendees and other members of the community. If you would like to request assistance or make a donation to this fund, contact Larry Gilson.

Clothes Closet

Providence is no longer accepting or distributing donations. However, please consider donating your items to the Raleigh Rescue Mission.

Cup Of Cold Water Ministry

With a name straight from Matthew 10:42, this ministry seeks to match those with practical needs—such as yard work, minor home repairs or transportation—with volunteers who are skilled to meet those needs. If you are either interested in volunteering or have an unmet practical need, call Jim Maas at 919-877-0858.

God's Recycled Blessings

This ministry attempts to match those who are giving away useable and clean household items (including computers and peripherals) and cars with those who need these items. For more information, contact Jim Maas at 919-877-0858.

Handyman Ministry

"Dear children, let us love not with words or tongue but with actions and truth." 1 John 3:18

Our desire is to be equipped to provide basic home repair for those who are unable to meet these needs themselves. We are focused first on ministering to the needs within our local body at Providence but we also desire to reach out to the local community and beyond.

Hospital & Bereavement Visitation And Follow-Up

The pastors of Providence and a team of volunteers visit Providence members and regular attendees in area hospitals to pray for, comfort and encourage those experiencing health concerns. This ministry also supports and cares for those who have experienced a death in their family. If you know of someone from our church family who is facing hospitalization or has experienced a death in their family, contact Larry Gilson. We would love to show our care for them.

The Martha Ministry

The Martha Ministry consists of volunteers who prepare and deliver meals to the family members of those in our church who are grieving over the death of an immediate family member. For information on how to become involved in this ministry of compassion, contact Pam Hofer.
