Prayer

We recognize that without dependence on the Lord through the power of prayer, this entire effort will be futile. Here are a few prayer points to guide you as you pray for this campaign.

Pastor Horner has given us four questions to ask in prayer to help focus our praying as we go forward together.

1. God, what do You want to do through me to accomplish Your will
for this church?
2. What have You placed in my hands that You want me to surrender to You?
3. Lord, will You quiet my life so that I can hear the promptings of the Holy Spirit and know what You want me to do?
4. God, whatever You show me to do, will You give me the faith and
courage to obey?

Let us support our church by building a 'wall of prayer' around her. Let's all be faithful to pray, to pray in unity and to pray relentlessly.

Father, we pray that:

1. You will give us the assurance that our gifts matter to your kingdom. Let us be Your instruments of giving.

2. You will always keep us mindful that everything belongs to You. Enable us to be good stewards of all that You have given to us.

3. You will forgive us for any times we have sown sparingly into Your kingdom.

4. You will help us to sow abundantly and to see the harvest fields as You do.

5. You will let that which we sow through the Capital Campaign return tenfold.

6. You will let us help bring Your kingdom here on earth.

7. You will enable us, the people of Providence, to always pour our time and resources into that which will bear eternal fruit.

Father, we thank and praise You for sharing Your riches with us. Thank You for giving us Your Son Jesus Christ. Thank You for supplying all of our needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
