Cove Retreat
In the unique setting of the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, N.C., more than 400 men will gather for a fantastic weekend of rest, recreation, renewal and reflection. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis upon our receipt of your deposit and completed registration. All men 18 years of age and older are welcome. Manly Event
Each year the men of Providence come together to enjoy food and fellowship and hear a message from a fellow believer who displays their faith in every part of their life, including their home and work. Past speakers have been Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy, astronaut Charlie Duke and Duck Commander Phil Robertson.
Manly Scramble
Our annual Manly Scramble Golf Tournament takes place each year in the spring. We begin at 6:30 a.m. with a full-course breakfast and a guest speaker. Next, we'll make our way to the golf course where the tournament format is scramble or captain's choice with a shotgun start. We will have prizes, refreshments and lunch. Ski Trip
Travel with us by bus to the Wintergreen Resort, located about one hour north of Lynchburg, Virginia, in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Ski or snowboard all day and enjoy a great time in a fantastic setting. Dads are welcome to bring their sons who are middle school students or older. Bike Trip
How would you like to pedal on miles of effortless trail along the New River in Virginia? Join us for our Men's Bike Trip - mountain-biking Providence-style. The New River Trail State Park offers a virtually flat, hard-packed trail for men to practice "freewheelin' friendship." All men high school age and older are welcome (high schoolers must be accompanied by their dads) for a weekend of fellowship, exercise and spiritual encouragement as we tackle the trail near Galax, Virginia. Skeet Shoot
Boys, break out the shotgun and make plans to join us for a day of fellowship at the twice yearly Men's Skeet Shooting Event. We travel to Deep River Sporting Clays, and finish with an old-fashioned Pig Pickin'. For more information, contact Rebecca Redmond (919-326-3000).
Kayak Trip
Join us next fall for two full days of camping, fishing, swimming, crabbing and more. We’ll head to Swansboro, NC and from there paddle out to Bear Island. Kayaks are available for rent if you do not own one. Contact Rebecca Redmond (326-3000) for more information.
