Community HOPE – Raleigh Gardens
Our vision: Giving Hope. Serving Communities. Building Futures.
At Community HOPE our desire is to help students see the hope for their future, rooted in the principles found in Jeremiah 29:11. Through literacy development and building caring relationships, we match volunteer mentors with at-risk students. Each year students participating in Community HOPE make phenomenal leaps in literacy skills, far above current norms. Even more, these children develop confidence and a vision for positive futures. Community HOPE students meet on Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:30 and 5:30 for one hour mentoring sessions with their mentors. If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please contact: Sarah Vevurka / 919.815.3066

The Garden Ministry seeks to collect vegetables, fruits and herbs from Providence family gardeners and farmers and to distribute to those who need to supplement their weekly groceries. 1 Timothy 6:18 says, "Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.” Most gardeners produce more than their families can consume, so in these challenging economic times, this is an opportunity for you to share your abundance with those in need. This ministry runs annually from July to August.
