Awana Leaders

Our Awana program cannot run without dedicated, faithful leadership. We are always looking for people who love children and want to invest in their lives by helping them hide God's Word in their heart. If you are at least 15 years old and are available to help on Wednesday evenings September through April, we'd like to talk to you.

We meet in the Children's Building and enter on the side opposite of the Glenwood Avenue entrance. We meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-8pm from September to mid-May.

Children are divided by age group:

Cubbies: Children who are three years old by September 1, 2010 through five year-olds.
Sparks: Kindergarten through second grade
T&T: Third through fifth grade

The evening is broken into three parts:

Handbook Time: Children recite the verses they have been working on during the week.
Council Time: Large-group teaching time when we have lessons from God's Word.
Game Time: We learn new games and play our old favorites as well.

Awana is an acronym from 2 Timothy 2:15 Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.
