Providence Kids Substitutes
We can't do it without you!
We are only able to run our weekly program of 19 Early Childhood classes involving almost 400 children with the help of more than 50 substitutes who are willing to step into a classroom to fill an empty spot. Every week you calm crying babies, change diapers, play games, take children outside, help with crafts and teach the kids about Jesus. We are so thankful for you.
Here are a few things that may help you serve more effectively:
Diapers
Only women change diapers.Strolling Babies
If you are strolling babies, please make sure you have a smock or substitute teacher badge on. Please only stroll on the three children's ministry wings or in the courtyard. Do not stroll in the common areas near the worship center. If you meet a parent in the hallway, please have him/her follow you back to the child's room before giving the child to the parent.Child Pickup Policy
Always ask the parent (or person picking up the child) for the top part of the security tag and make sure the numbers match. If a parent does not have the tag, please send him/her to the Children's Ministry welcome desk. Someone at the desk will verify his/her identity and then return with him/her to the child's room to let you know.Please Arrive 10 Minutes Early
Please come 10 minutes before the hour during which you serve. This allows teachers from the previous hour and parents who are dropping off their children to get to their LIFE classes or worship on time. It really helps our ministry run more smoothly!Resource Room
The resource room is in rooms 135 and 181, where you will also find copiers. You also can find toys, art/craft supplies, puzzles, etc. in there. The playroom is room W103 and W104 in the children's suite, next to Prisms. Please feel free to use any rooms and/or supplies you need.Training Sessions
You are always welcome to attend our training sessions the second Sunday evening of each month. The sessions are in the fellowship hall at 5:45pm. Dinner is served to adults. Children can attend SonStation. You can register them here.
