Mission Trips

One of the purposes of the Missions Ministry is to establish healthy, growing Christian fellowships and ministries wherever they are needed. We do this by equipping and motivating our church to minister in a worldwide context, focusing especially on those nations and peoples who have little or no Christian witness. TANZANIA MEDICAL MISSION

June 1-10 – VBS/Medical Assistance
This team will travel to Tanzania to set-up and run a clinic for national pastors attending a national conference, orphan children, and local people. All types of medical and dental personnel are needed and non-medical people are also needed in a variety of roles. This trip may also include a small VBS for the orphan children.

KENYA*

June 21-July 2 - VBS and G.F.H. (you’re gonna love this)

It has been about six years since our last trip to Kenya. Once again we will join our hearts with Pastor Charles and others we have known for years in an effort to reach out to those precious children living in the slums of Kametha and Kibera. Sharing His love through Bible stories and song never gets old. You haven’t lived until you have heard the children sing the songs of Christmas. This is a great trip for families.

UGANDA

July 19-29  – Evangelism through Sports/VBS

This will be our third year to partner with Providence missionaries Abby and David Kakeeto and their team, our goal is to share new life in Christ and His love with “their kids.” Using sports and VBS we can help change the “score” in a child’s life. This trip would be good for families with children over 12 years old.

PAC-A-THON FOR KENYA*

July 20-21 – Caring from the Heart
“Timing is everything” and the time may not be right for you to go overseas on a short term trip, but there is a way for you to send a part of your heart to children who have so little hope.  We need you….we want you to come help us put together thousands of meals for hundreds of children.  Here’s how it works we supple everything…but we need YOU!  Choose one of three slots.  Come as a life class, families or better yet get a group of friends from your neighborhood and show the Christ’s love in action.

ETHIOPIA

July 26-August 5 – Evangelism through Sports

This will be the fourth year God has allowed us to join with Sports Friends to help reach young Ethiopian athletes with the Gospel. Our role will be to assist the coaches as well as befriend the athletes. About 100 athletes come from all over Ethiopia with a variety of backgrounds, but all share a love for “the game.” Partnering with the coaches, we get to share the difference Christ has made in us.
We will be partnering with Sports Friends at a small camp in Langano where we will be ministering to around 100 Ethiopian teenagers through sports, songs, crafts and dramas.

SERBIA*

December 7-15, 2012 – Evangelism (Operation Christmas Child)

For the past 12 years we have had the blessing of sharing in this wonderful ministry. We have distributed tens of thousands of shoeboxes, while sharing the Gospel with thousands more children, teachers and parents. The little town of Backi Petrovac in Serbia will be the home base of operations as we reach out to surrounding villages. This is a great mission trip for families.
