Media Ministry
Media is one of the main driving forces in today's culture. It is for that reason that Providence has sought to expand and grow its media department. The purpose of this ministry is to aid in the worship experience by providing quality audio and visual presentations. We also want to offer online resources for those who would like to develop or improve their own church's media program. With three services each weekend and numerous events throughout the week, we're able to offer different ways for people to discover or grow their talents through volunteer opportunities with this ministry. So whether audio and video is a hobby or something you would like to pursue as a career, feel free to join our team.
If you have any questions about any information you see on the Media Ministry pages, please contact David Burton.

Media Opportunities
From an audio engineer to a graphics designer to a stagehand, many opportunities are available to serve in the Media Ministry. No matter your skill level or time availability, there is a place for you to get involved. The largest need we have is during the worship services on Sunday mornings. Numerous events are also held throughout the week that require volunteers and can serve as a great training ground. Listed below are the opportunities as well as brief descriptions. If you'd like to get involved with the Media Ministry or have any questions, contact David Burton.
Stage Manager
The primary role and responsibilities include coordinating with the worship leader and tech team to make sure things run on time and smoothly. For example, the producer is responsible for making sure the band is on stage at the appropriate time.
Front of House Audio
The audio engineer mixes the sound for the event. Audio engineers are also necessary for some rehearsals. If you are interested in learning, the audio console rehearsals provide a good opportunity to hone your skills and get comfortable with the sound system. Join us on Wednesday nights during rehearsals.
Graphics Operator
This person is an integral part of leading worship, as they control the lyrics on the screens. If you are interested in getting involved in the Media Ministry, but feel intimidated by your lack of technical experience, this is a good beginning position. We will provide all the training you need to get started.
Video Director
Have you ever wondered what it's like to direct camera operators for a live event? Providence does not broadcast on television, but we offer DVDs of the services on our Online Resource Center. You can learn at your own pace and get the chance to see what it's like to work behind the scenes in live video production.
Camera Operator
The camera operator is vital in providing overflow feeds and recording. Connected with the video director via headset, you will follow direction to get your camera shots.
Recording Coordinator
This position is responsible for all of our recorded media, cassette tape, CD and DVD. Our recorded media opens the doors to incredible opportunities of evangelism throughout the congregation and to the ends of the earth.
Stagehand
This is a great position for those who want to get their feet wet in the Media Ministry. This is also a great starting place for younger members of the media team. Responsibilities include moving stands, delivering microphones and moving props on and off stage during productions.
