Singles of all ages will find it a place to renew friendships, meet new singles, relax, enjoy walks on the beach, and sing by the campfire, as well as a chance to worship with other singles through praise music and biblical teaching. The dates for the 2007 event are May 26-28. Contact
Jay Veverka (326-3000).

Marriage and Parenting Conference (August 2008)

Men's Bike Trip (October 3-5, 2008)
How would you like to pedal on miles of effortless trail along the New River in Virginia? Join us for our Men's Bike Trip - mountain biking Providence-style. The New River Trail State Park offers a virtually flat, hard-packed trail for men to practice "Freewheelin' Friendship." Check back for information on the 2007 event. All men high school age and older are welcome (high schoolers must be accompanied by their dads) for a weekend of fellowship, exercise and spiritual encouragement as we tackle the trail near Galax, Virginia. Contact Rebecca Perry (326-3000).

Providence's 30th Anniversary (October 5, 2008)
Be a part of a reflective evening as we celebrate another year of God's providence through worship and testimonies. Dwell on God's goodness as the Worship Ministry leads us in some of our favorite songs from the past year. Don't miss this special evening in the life of the church family. It starts at 6 p.m. in the worship center and will be followed by a dessert social in the fellowship hall.

Fall Family Fun Night (October 2008)
Join us for this special night for the family. We'll have games, pizza, inflatable fun and pony rides. Kids (and adults) are welcome to come in costume (nothing too scary, please!).

Annual Women's Retreat (November 7-9, 2008)
Join the women of Providence in October for a fabulous weekend of encouragement and seeking the Lord. Whether you need peace and quiet or friendship and laughter, you will not want to miss out on this special weekend! Check back here for more information on next year’s retreat.

Holidays Fit for the King (November 15, 2008)
This annual event will prepare us to keep our focus on Christ throughout the holiday season and inspire us with creative and practical ideas. Get creative and practical ideas from frugal to fancy. Questions? Contact Anne Stancil (919-326-3000).

Metamorphosis (November 2008)
This discipleship weekend is held every year in the fall in various host homes around the area. It is open for all 6th-12th graders. Invite your friends to be part of this time spent understanding God's desires for our lives, enjoying incredible adventures and experiencing unforgettable praise and worship.

Thanksgiving Service (November 2008)
Each year on the evening before Thanksgiving Day, Providence and Wake Chapel Church share a joint service. The sermon, location and music alternates each year between the two churches. The service begins at 7 p.m. Join us as we thank and praise God for His many blessings to us.

Christmas Musical (December 2008)
Providence's annual Christmas program is always filled with a variety of music from the choir, orchestra and worship teams and unforgettable drama handcrafted by Providence's own. It's a special way to share the joy of the season with family and friends.

Love Feast (December 24, 2008)
Join us for Providence's Christmas Eve tradition, the Love Feast. The early church met and broke bread together to signify their union in Christ and love for one another. In 1727, the Moravian Church revised this practice of partaking of a simple meal together, and it became known as a love feast. Let the story of the Christmas season come alive for you through a special celebration of carols and candlelight. This year's Love Feast will be held on December 24 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the worship center. Join with others in this time of Christmas joy for the whole family.

Missions Festival (February 2009)
The festival is a special time in the church family where we learn about God's heart for the lost. Missionaries from across the world, as well as local missionaries, join us for the festivities.

Men's Cove Retreat (March 20-22, 2009)
In the unique setting of the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, more than 500 men will gather for a fantastic weekend of rest, recreation, renewal and reflection. Check the men's page for details about the 2008 event. Contact Rebecca Perry (919-326-3000).

Joy Prom (April 2009)
We want those in our community with special needs to know that they are loved by Jesus and are precious to Him. We are planning the Joy Prom to be just like a high school prom, complete with dinner and dancing, ties and formal dresses, corsages and boutonnieres, shoe shines and makeup.

Men's Golf Scramble (April 2009)
Our annual Manly Scramble Golf Tournament takes place in the spring each year. The date for the 2008 event is April 29. We'll begin at 6:30 a.m. with a full-course breakfast and a guest speaker. Next, we'll make our way to the golf course where the tournament format is scramble or captain's choice with a shotgun start. We will have prizes, refreshments and lunch. Contact Rebecca Perry (326-3000).
