July

Week One - July 4-10, 2010   
Impact Camp: Pray for the Impact camp report back meeting (14) as students, volunteer counselors and staff report on what God did in their lives during the week of camp. John 15:16
   
Pray for David Horner and George Tissiere as they travel to Indonesia to teach at a local seminary and preach at a pastor’s conference.

Week Two - July 11-17, 2010
Capital Community Church- Praise God for the opportunity to use the auditorium and twelve classrooms for the summer. Pray that the school will extend the use of these facilities. Philippians 4:19; Proverbs 21:1

Pray for our Outdoor Baptism (18) and for the Pastor’s Retreat (12-14). Ask for wisdom and discernment for the pastors as they think strategically about God’s direction for His church.

Week Three - July 18-24, 2010
Ethiopia (15-24): A group of five people will be partnering with SIM to serve at a sports camp. Pray that the team will find many opportunities to share the love of Christ with their new friends. Romans 10:13-15

Capital Community Kenya Mission (15-23): Pray for funding, team training, medical prep work, and that passports will be issued.

Week Four - July 25-31, 2010
Peru (24-31): Pray for the team of 16 as they seek to serve through a variety of ministries; that they will seek opportunities to share their faith and to serve the families of this area. John 4:35

August

Week One - August 1-7, 2010
College Leadership Retreat (5-7): Pray as they go to Wilmington to pray and seek God’s favor for a year of ministry. Psalm 67

Week Two - August 8-14, 2010
Capital Community Church: For the Lord’s continual direction as they establish and seek volunteers for all the ministry areas. Matthew 28:19-20

Annual Report (15)- Thank our Father for what He has done over the past ministry year at Providence.
 
Week Three - August 15-21, 2010
Rebel Freshman Initiative: The College Ministry will be starting an evangelism initiative on the NCSU campus this week to challenge freshman to rebel against the status quo and follow Christ instead. Mark 8:35-37

Pray for the 500 volunteers it takes each week to provide ministry care for our preschool through high school ministries. Luke 10:2

Week Four - August 22-28, 2010
Teacher Forum with Dr. Steve McKinnon– for our LIFE teachers to sharpen their skill in communicating God’s Word to their classes.  2 Timothy 2:15

Pray for the Singles Mission Project to partner with Stough Elementary School through Adopt-A-School (28).

Week Five - August 29-September 4, 2010
International Students: the College Ministry will be taking a group of international students to Washington DC for the weekend. Pray that God would open people’s hearts to the Gospel. 2 Corinthians 4:1-6

September

Week One - September 5-11, 2010
Capital Community Church: Pray for wisdom for Leon and Renee; for balance of time in completing their responsibilities; for wisdom as Leon seeks God’s direction for sermon planning. Philippians 4:19

Week Two - September 12-18, 2010
As a new ministry year begins (12), pray for the Next Steps ministry, LIFE class leadership and developing small groups from within the LIFE classes.

Week Three - September 19-25, 2010
Ask the Father to bring to your mind and heart what He would have you pray for concerning His church, leaders, volunteers and those you know in the church family who are struggling in life. Hebrews 13:7, 17

Week Four - September 26-October 2, 2010
Parenting Conference with Gary Thomas (26-27):  Pray that parents will be equipped and motivated to allow our Father to work through them to shape their children to know, follow and serve our great God.
