Prayer Ministry

Upper Room

The Upper Room is Providence's intercessory prayer ministry and receives requests from anyone who desires prayer. In addition to personal requests, prayers are lifted up regularly for areas including our nation and government, missionaries, the salvation of those who are not Christians, Providence's ministries, area church leaders and members, job seekers, students
and more.

There are three components of the Upper Room's ministry.

  1. Day Watch intercessors pray one hour a week between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. in Providence's prayer suite for the many confidential prayer needs represented there. An orientation/training session is required to participate in this ministry.
  2. Night Watch intercessors pray from 30 minutes to one hour per week during an agreed upon time away from the church for non-confidential requests.
  3. Anna's Army (women) and Simeon's Soldiers (men) are intercessors who have circumstantial or physical restrictions, which preclude their praying at the church. These prayer warriors pray at home for non-confidential requests.
