MOMENTS WITH THE MASTER

CHOOSING JOY IN SUFFERING
Vaneetha Rendall Risner

DAILY DISCIPLESHIP
Alison Ingersoll
Jesus commands us to “go and make disciples.” What does that look like, practically? Am I qualified? How do I do it? Will I do it "right"? We will answer these questions and more to build your confidence so you are equipped to fulfill the great commission.

PURSUIT OF HOLINESS
Meg Barnes
Holiness, or godliness, must be pursued by the believer as she desires God and seeks to honor Him in her daily life. We will focus on the role of the individual in the discipline of godliness as we allow the Holy Spirit to transform us.

SPECIAL NEEDS INDEED
Gina Thomas, Anetha Wasle, Katie Honeycutt
Having a loved one with special needs impacts all members of the family. We will discuss how to point special needs individuals of all ages, to Jesus, and also include practical ways to support friends and family members who are affected by disabilities.

BODY IMAGE: BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT
Jessica Long
Thoughts of negative body image are rampant in today’s society, but did you know that poor body image is predictive of depression, anxiety, and eating disorders? How, then, are we as Christian women supposed to engage with ourselves, our families, and our friends in an image-obsessed culture that makes body positivity so difficult and counter-cultural? Explore what the Bible says about the connection between the sacred and the physical, as well as how to model a healthy spirit of body acceptance in our spheres of influence.

A BETTER DAY IS AHEAD – THE IMPORTANCE OF GRIEVING WELL
Judy Dixon
Grief comes into everyone’s life, but not everyone mourns in a healthy way. Our aim is to help those who have experienced loss find comfort, encouragement and a renewed sense of hope and meaning as we explore God’s Word. Participants will recognize what to expect during the grieving process, acquire new coping skills and receive helpful resources for navigating the journey.

SEXUAL CULTURE AND THE GOSPEL
Lindsey Danforth, Lauren Ward
We live in a world saturated by sex. How do we live a life that honors the Creator of sex while we reflect the gospel to those around us? We will explore God’s Word to learn what He teaches us about this often misunderstood and misrepresented topic.

BIBLICAL MEDITATION: FUEL FOR YOUR FAITH
Tabatha Frost
Fill your mind; don't empty it! Learn to savor the Scriptures and experience a renewed mind as we explore the practice of Biblical meditation.

LET'S TALK ABOUT MENTAL ILLNESS. I'LL GO FIRST
Aimee Caverly
One in four people have been diagnosed with a mental illness, yet it is something rarely discussed in the church. As a wife, mother and friend affected by a mental health diagnosis, Aimee Caverly will start this difficult conversation. Whether it is you or a loved one affected, we will discuss what it feels like to have a serious mental health challenge, expose mental illness to the truth of God’s Word, and share specific coping skills used to experience recovery, in Christ.

FINISHING STRONG
Dixie Harris
We are called to follow Jesus throughout all of life. Jesus set the example by finishing the work that God the Father gave Him to do and so must we. Together, we will explore ways to finish the later years of our life, inspired rather than retired.
