About Podcasting

What is a podcast?
A podcast is similar to a mini-radio show you can listen to at your leisure. Every week, Providence's weekly sermon podcast will automatically download to your computer and appear in iTunes ready for listening.

Do I need an iPod?
No! You don't need an iPod to subscribe to the podcast. You can move the audio file to any portable MP3 player, or just listen to it on your computer.

What do I need to get started?
You'll need a program to download the podcast. We recommend iTunes, which can be downloaded for free at www.apple.com.

Can I still download sermons from the website?
Yes! All Providence sermons, The Gathering, College Class and Men's Monday Night Bible Study can still be found on the Online Resource Center and downloaded for free whenever you'd like. Podcasting is just a way to skip the downloading process and receive the sermons automatically.

What happens once I'm subscribed?
Every time you open iTunes, the program will detect whether or not there is a new podcast and download it to your computer. It's that easy!

What podcasts are available?
  • Sunday Morning Sermons
  • Singles Ministry's Gathering
  • College Ministry's College Class (Sunday Morning)
  • Men's Monday Night Bible Study
  • The Journey, a monthly Bible study for Married couples
Note: Only one of the sermons preached on Sunday will be podcasted. If the sermon you're looking for is not podcasted, check the Online Resource Center in the Sunday Mornings - you can find all of the sermons preached on Sunday there.
