Cup of Cold Water Ministry

With a name straight from Matthew 10:42, this ministry seeks to match those with practical needs - such as yard work, minor home repairs or transportation - with volunteers who are skilled to meet those needs. If you are either interested in volunteering or have an unmet practical need, you can contact Jim Maas(919-877-0858).

Benevolence Ministry

This ministry is responsible for the collection and distribution of the benevolence fund monies. The benevolence fund is a special fund set aside to help Providence members, regular attendees and other members of the community. If you would like to request assistance or make a donation to this fund, contact Larry Gilson.

Hospital and Bereavement Visitation and Follow-up

The pastors of Providence and a team of volunteers visit Providence members and regular attendees in area hospitals to pray for, comfort and encourage those experiencing health concerns. This ministry also supports and cares for those who have experienced a death in their family. If you know of someone from our church family who is facing hospitalization or has experienced a death in their family, contact Becky Estes. We would love to show our care for them.

The Martha Ministry

The Martha Ministry consists of volunteers who prepare and deliver meals to the family members of those in our church who are grieving over the death of a loved one. For information on how to become involved in this ministry of compassion, contact Becky Estes.

Clothes Closet

The purpose of the Clothes Closet is to help meet the practical needs of the Body of Christ. It provides a place for members and regular church attenders to give unused clothing as well as find items that meet their current needs. If you want further information or have a specific need, call326-3000, ext. 514.

God's Recycled Blessings

This ministry attempts to match those who are giving away useable and clean household items (including computers and peripherals) and cars with those who need these items. For more information contact Jim Maas (919-877-0858).

Empty Arms Ministry

We are ladies from Providence Baptist Church who have experienced a stillbirth, miscarriage or tubal pregnancy. We've been where you are and have a desire to help others through this trying time. These issues affect fathers and husbands too, and we are equipped with men who can be of support and encouragement to the grieving father. If you or someone you know has need of this ministry, please contact Kelly Hogan.
