Providence offers financial education primarily through Crown Ministries International, which provides a variety of seminars and workshops to introduce biblical principles of financial management and stewardship to the church and community. Crown Financial Ministries teaches and trains people to use their finances wisely, according to the principles of God's Word, so they'll be free to serve Him and impact His world for Jesus Christ. Budget Counseling
Do you desire to learn about honoring the Lord with your finances? Do you need help in setting up a spending plan and budgeting your money? Do you want to make certain that your present budget is meeting your needs and the needs of your family? If the answer to the above questions is yes, then you are a candidate for budget counseling. Car Care Education
Your car is one of the most expensive items which depreciates, so why not treat it with the utmost care? There is a direct correlation with the maintenance provided to a car and the length the car will last. Steve Moll of Raleigh Auto Care will lead this discussion on what needs to be done to your car on a regular basis, what you need to do when you are having car problems and your consumer rights when dealing with your car. LIFE Classes and Small Groups
The Crown Ministries curriculum is periodically offered through LIFE classes and small group studies. Click here for a listing of our LIFE classes. A small group study is being offered in the spring. An extra fee for materials is required. To preregister, call Brian or Jean Schmidt (919-845-3439).
Journey to Financial Freedom
Crown Ministries will host the seminar, A Journey to True Financial Freedom for anyone who wants to live according to God’s principles of finance. This seminar will help you learn to detect and avoid hazards that cause the most problems for the family and how to successfully manage each hazard. Equipped with wisdom from God’s Word, you will learn how to establish a workable financial plan, live a debt-free life, improve communication with your spouse, and become free to serve as God directs. This Crown Financial Ministries seminar provides teaching on the biblical principles of handling money.
The seminar will answer questions including:
1. What does God's Word say about handling money?
2. What are financial traps to avoid?
3. What is financial freedom?
4. How can we develop a plan to ensure there's enough money at the end of the month?
5. What about the future?
The cost is $25 per person. This is an excellent investment into your financial journey. There will be two separate seminars, one in English and one in Spanish.
