Joy Prom
Joy Prom 2010 will be held here at Providence on Friday, April 30th at 6:30pm.
Led by the student ministry, Joy Prom is an opportunity to show those in our community with special needs to know that they are loved by Jesus and are precious to Him. It is a night designed to be just like a prom you went to in high school, complete with dinner and dancing, ties and formal dresses, corsages and boutonnieres, shoe shines and makeup.
Our 11th grade students help put on the Joy Prom every year as their graded ministry project. The Joy Prom is an opportunity to show those in our community with special needs to know that they are loved by Jesus and are precious to Him. Joy Prom has become one of our favorite events and has spurred other churches to start their own. A manual explaining how we plan Joy Prom, full of helpful hints and schedules, is available to download below.
Registration for those attending will begin in a few weeks.
