Holidays Fit for the King

Each year we come together to start the holiday season with the right attitude and to remember the reason for the season. During a Saturday morning in November, workshops and seminars are offered to help ladies plan for the season. Topics in the past have included decorating and cooking, as well as seminars for those grieving or ways to share the Christmas story with children.

Grandmothers at Prayer

Christian grandmothers join together monthly, responding to God's call to stand in the gap (Ezekiel 22:30). Their petitions for their grandchildren build walls of righteousness and protection and establish beacons of faith in difficult situations. We have expanded our prayer efforts to include all the families in our church body, asking the Lord to give wisdom in rearing their children and to raise up godly leaders for this generation. If you are a grandmother, please plan to join with other "GAP" warriors the second Sunday of each month at 9:30 or 11 a.m. the Prayer Suite, room A. Contact Jackie Brown (919-851-7141).

Body and Soul Fitness

Our next session of Body and Soul will start January 6, 2010. If you’re interested in an uplifting exercise program, join us on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in Prisms. No experience is necessary to participate.  Classes include aerobics and strength training to contemporary Christian music in an encouraging and supportive environment. To register for the class or for childcare, contact Stacey Cochran (877-3127 or staceylynne@mindspring.com).
