Biblical Qualifications for Elder
Good manager of his family; husband of one wife; not self-willed; not quick-tempered; not addicted to wine; not a violent person; not fond of dishonest gain; hospitable; lover of good; sound-minded; righteous, pleasing to God; self-controlled; continually holding fast to the faithful Word; moderate; orderly in all matters; able to teach; reasonable; peaceable; not a lover of money; not a new Christian; possessing a good reputation and testimony outside the church.

Man of dignity; sincere; not addicted to wine; not fond of dishonest gain; keeper of the faith; husband of one wife; good manager of his family
