We Value Your Kids

It is a privilege for us to share the love of Jesus with your kids in a fun, safe, and age-appropriate environment each week. Our hope is to see a generation of kids love Jesus at an early age.

Sunday Mornings

Each week hundreds of kids from babies through 5th grade, gather together in groups. Learn more about each of these age-specific groups and what to expect on a Sunday morning below.

(Babies & Ones)

Available at 9:30 & 11 AM

Your child will be cared for, prayed over, and loved by our volunteers. Kids are welcome to stay for two of the three worship hours. Check-in is available in the nursery hall. Additionally, a weekly check-in sheet is available in each room for parents to notify teachers of specific feeding and changing needs. Please review the Healthy Child Policy in the FAQs below. Register for each week opens Monday mornings and closes Saturday night.

Kids Preschool IconPreschool

(Ages 2 – 4)

Available at 9:30 & 11 AM

Your preschool child will learn the truths of God’s Word through lessons designed for their specific ages. During this time they will also engage in playtime, snacks, outdoor time (weather permitting), crafts, and music. Preschool is a great age to begin to develop a love for Jesus. We are honored to partner with you in discipling your little one! Register for each week opens Monday mornings and closes Saturday night.

Kids ElementaryElementary

(Kindergarten – 5th Grade)

Available at 9:30 & 11 AM

Elementary years are the most opportune time for kids to be awed by the God of the universe, to establish a foundational relationship with Jesus, and to begin their own personal walk of faith. Each child should be checked in at one of the kiosks in the Kids Lobby and then escorted by a parent to their classroom. Parents must pick up their child at the end of the hour. Register for each week opens Monday mornings and closes Saturday night.

Register your kid each week

Parents must register their kids (birth – 5th grade) each week they plan to attend. Registration opens on Monday mornings and closes Saturday night. The registration link will be posted on this page. Please note, space is limited so registration may fill up before Saturday night. Please consider registering earlier in the week.

What are parents allowed to drop off with their kids?

Please do not pack toys, snacks, or cups. Parents are allowed to drop off diapers and a bottle.

Where do parents check-in?

Self check-in stations are available in the Cafe Lobby and the Kids Lobby. For elementary-aged kids, it is recommended that you enter through the Kids Lobby. The kids staff team will also be available to assist with check-in if you prefer.

What are the protocols when dropping off a kid?

All kids will have their temperature taken when they arrive. Only one parent will be allowed to escort their kid to their room.

Are kids required to wear a mask?

Our staff and volunteers will wear masks. We strongly recommend and ask that everyone over the age of 4 wear a mask while in the building.

What is the check-in and pick up process?

We use our computer system to provide security and convenience for our families. This check-in system speeds up check-in procedures any time your child attends a kid’s event and provides added security while your child is at church. Once you’ve created your account, checking in will be easy. Once you check-in, a name tag and a corresponding claim check will print out for each child. Your kid’s name, room assignment, and any information the teachers need to know (allergies, etc.) prints on their name tag.

Check-in stations are located in the Kids Lobby and in the nursery hall (Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the only check-in station will be available by the elevators in the Cafe Lobby). If it’s your first time at Providence, come in the Main Entrance, stop by the Welcome Desk and a volunteer will escort you to a check-in station.

No child is allowed to leave the classroom without a parent and a matching security tag.

What safety measures are in place?

Your child’s safety is our priority and we are committed to a system that creates a safe environment. Teachers and staff that interact with your child have been through an orientation, training, and completed a background check. All teachers wear name tags so that they are easily identified. Our electronic check-in system provides an additional layer of security for your child. Security personnel are located throughout the kids hallways.

What is the healthy child policy?

We want to provide a healthy environment in our classrooms, so we ask you to keep your child at home when any of the following have occurred within the last 24 hours.

  • Fever/Vomiting
  • Drainage from the eye(s)
  • Green or yellow runny nose
  • Frequent cough
  • Diarrhea
  • Questionable rash
  • Sore throat

If your child becomes ill while in the classroom, you will be notified promptly. If your child is being treated with an antibiotic, he or she should have received treatment for at least 24 hours before coming to the classroom.

Are kids with special needs welcome?

We want you to know that your child is welcome and loved. We’ll work with you to provide the level of assistance needed for your child so that they can learn about Jesus in a loving and safe environment while you attend worship service or Life Group. So that we can serve you better, contact Cindy at [email protected] and let her know you’d like to visit so she can answer any questions and make sure we have a volunteer to support your child if necessary for your first Sunday.

Sunday evenings

We are exploring God’s Word, his mission, and how we play a part in it. Registration is required each week. More details for each age group are available below.

Kids Nursery IconSonStation (Childcare)

(Babies – Twos)

SonStation is available on select nights when parents are serving in Kids Explore, The Rising, Life Group Leadership Training, or attending a Sunday evening service. Registration is required each week and parents must remain on campus while their kids are in SonStation.

Kids Explore Icon

Kids Explore

(age 3 – 5th Grade)

Kids will explore the depths of the Bible and what it means to love Jesus. Preschool kids will continue to learn “God’s Big Picture” in order to see how all of Scripture is telling the story of God’s salvation in Jesus. Elementary-aged kids dive deeper into the topic of prayer and why and how God wants to talk with us. Registration is required each week. Parents should check-in their kids in the Cafe Lobby.

May 9 (Mother’s Day)

Baby Dedication is the first milestone in our Family Discipleship Pathway. This time is used to commission parents and give vision for how the church and home partner together towards the shared goal of making disciples of the next generation.
