My father has been in Rex Hospital since Friday evening. We initially brought him in for congestive heart failure. They then discovered he had 2 brain bleeds probably resulting from recent falls. He was monitored in ICU for a couple days and because he was doing better, they moved him to a regular room. Then things took a turn for the worse. Dad started having seizures, chest pain, and loss of use of his left side. Today we had to make the difficult decision to move Dad to “comfort care”. We are trying to be positive and talk about old times, make jokes, and tell him we are here and love him. But we are weary. Please pray that we have made the right decision, that dad is comfortable, and that all is being done to honor Dad’s wishes as we wait for God’s plan to be revealed.
