Surrendering Fear of Man

|

My daughter and I need to check my Dad into hospice in the next few days. We have a relative who has willfully caused my kids, my parents, and me great harm. I expect this relative to arrive at hospice when we do. Please pray that God will enable us to truly surrender the event and its outcome to Him. Our flesh is responding with intense fear and anxiety at this vulnerable and already emotional time. We’re trying to apply the lessons taught in last week’s timely sermon about not fearing man. (This is especially hard when we’ve suffered very dramatically from this person’s past attacks, and knowing God allowed it). We want God’s protection, but we want to be surrendered whether He allows more harm from this person or not. May God give us overwhelming peace that surpasses understanding.
