On the mountains and in the valleys, in our highs and lows, God is with us. He is not merely over us, or behind us, or before us. God is with us. Knowing that we could not draw near to Him, at many times and in many ways, God drew near to us. He established covenants, sent prophets, covered sins, and stood with His people, but nothing revealed God’s desire to be with us more than when He became a man and dwelt among us. “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel, which means God with us.” If this were not enough, God drew even closer by choosing to live within in the heart of every believer by the power of His Spirit. God is with us!
