Injustice stuns our faith in God; when disappointment sours our love for God; when anxiety shakes our resolve to follow God, it’s natural to feel defeated. God knows it’s hard to storm a castle when our heart is in a sling, so He gave us a mission and the Book of Psalms. The Psalms describe the battleground where our raw emotions and broken hearts can look into the eyes of God’s unflinching truth. The good news is that if we look long enough, our emotions will blink, our hearts will bend, and both will be healed.
